It was founded in 1995 and is dedicated to empowering learners to succeed in their endeavors. Our view is that herbalism is a holistic discipline that affects all our lives at some stage. Our founders are strong advocates for holistic and contemplative methods and the The Natural Health Academy aims at all times to provide a balance of science and practicality in its teaching. They seek to further the knowledge of herbal medicine for its personal and planetary benefits, and this philosophy is evident in all that they do.

 | The Founders - Vincent and CherylTogether Vincent and Cheryl Tones have over 30 years practical experience in formulations, manufacture and marketing in the Natural Medicine, Phyto-therapy and Dietary Supplement Industry. They have achieved many accolades of success through their passion and dedication for making this industry accessible to all. Their experience and knowledge extends to: Health Product Development, Branding, Packaging and Marketing, Training, A-Z Product Guidance, Product Knowledge Training Manuals. Regulatory Compliance: WHO, GMP, FDA, TGA, SAHPRA (Former MCC), ASA (Legal Standards for Advertising Material). Manufacturing Methodology: Stability, absorption catalysts, dissolvability, pack and delivery means, tablet binders and fillers, gliders, coaters, density tests, capsules, powders, creams, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, bars, effervescent and chewable tablets, group taste testing, etc. Sales team Training and Presentations. Customer Helpline and Complaint Resolution. Projects: Projections, target setting and timelines.  | Sandile MbheleRegistrar Sandile is an Entrepreneur with many years of experience in the Health Industry in manufacturing, marketing and sales of Natural Health Products, by running his own company: Power Herbal Remedies, since 2005. His qualifications are: National Diploma in Chemical Engineering - Mangosuthu University of Technology; Advanced Business Programme - Durban University of Technology; Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Management - Durban University of Technology.

 | Ilse BurgerOperations and Administrations Ilse comes from a very diverse background, she is an explorer and adventurer at heart, with a passion for nature and natural living. She has travelled to many parts of the world as a SCUBA diving instructor and obtained her Yacht skipper’s certificate in the Bazarotu Archipelago. She is a qualified therapist and has worked in and owned her own beauty salon and has always had a passion for the health and wellness industry. She has recently bought a farm and is developing grow tunnels for herbs and vegetables. She has been working with Tones Family Health as their operations manager in the factory and as she is a qualified health and safety officer, she makes sure that all operations are run to the strictest hygiene and safety codes. Ilse has been working as the Administrator for Tones Family Health on Pastel V18 and Payroll, and she is the responsible person for NHA as well with regards to sending all students their Invoicing and Statements. Any payment issues and/or plans can be discussed with her.  | Cameron FaulknerStudent Advisor (Course Friend):Cameron has experience living off grid, organic farming and is passionate about living naturally. During his time of living in a traditional area he took a keen interest in the alchemical process of making herbal medicine. He learnt and experienced the practical application of detoxing the body. He also administered a number of health consulting groups and assisted them in promoting a healthy lifestyle in the community, both physically and psychologically. He is very interested in the relationship between disease and the spiritual nature thereof, exploring the root cause of ailments on both a physical and psychological level. He is a practicing vegan and truly believes in living close to the land and nourishing his body with foods from the earth and as close to the origin as possible. All student queries would go to Cameron who be responding to emailed queries and engage in online chat sessions with students that have queries. If there are queries he cannot answer it will filtered through to Cheryl for her expert input and response. He has a Diploma in Metaphysics and will soon be a qualified Natural Health Consultant. |
